Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this delightful Yurie Shitsu-Kou Byakudan Urushi Fountain Pen, which comes with its wooden presentation box (including outer) and informartion leaflets- confirming first purchase on 30th June 2025. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition.
Working with the legendary Eboya, Yurie Style create delightful pens that rarely appear on the secondary market. The pen is crafted from ebonite, which is then finished using Wajima lacquerware techniques. This model was produced under the supervision of Kozo Yamazaki, organiser of the Kobe Pen Show. The finish is achieved using an exceptionally time-consuming process involving many layers of thicker than usual Urushi lacquer along with gold and silver leaf. The presentation box has a pure silk lining.
The pen measures approx. 115mm with the cap attached and 145mm posted. The cap diameter is 17mm and the barrel is 16mm.
The pen is fitted with with a 14k medium-fine (MF) nib and it's a cartridge only pen.
