Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this delightful Yurie Chinkin Momiji Autman Leaves Fountain Pen, which comes with its wooden presentation box (including outer) and unstamped information leaflets. The pen has never been used and is presented in as new condition.
Working with the legendary Eboya, Yurie Style create delightful pens that rarely appear on the secondary market. The pen is crafted from ebonite, which is then finished using Wajima lacquerware and maki-e techniques. This model was created alongside Kozo Yamazaki, organiser of the Kobe Pen Show.
A colour that sits somewhere between brown and an almost exceptionally dark red, the lacquer has a deep "urumi-cha" colour. It's inspired by the hues of fallen leaves, awaiting the cold of Winter in an Autumnal forrest. The Maple Leaf design symbolises 'intelligence' and 'fruitfulness'. This really is a finish that has to be seen to be fully appreciated.
The pen measures approx. 140mm with the cap attached and 135mm without. The cap and barrel diameter is 15mm.
The pen is fitted with with a 14k fine nib and it's a cartridge only pen.
