Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Visconti Ponte Vecchio Golf Markus Brier Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its Visconti presentation box (including branded outer), booklet, card and signed golf ball. The pen has never been inked and is presented in overall fantastic condition - there is some wear to the lining of the presentation box. Only 18 were produced and this is number 15.
Released in 2007, the Ponte Vecchio Golf was a total edition of 288 pens - Visconti asked 16 golf champions to sign 18 golf balls each, with this example being from the Austrian player, Markus Brier. The pen is crafted from a translucent green resin, which is infused with gold dust. The trim is vermeil (gold-plating over sterling silver). The barrel features a relief engraving of a golfers swing, with the cap band showcasing Florence's iconic Ponte Vecchio bridge,
The pen features the patented double reservoir power filler – you simply unscrew the end of the barrel, pull up the rod, place the nib in an ink bottle and push the rod back down to fill! It’s one of our favourite filling systems.
The pen is fitted with an 18k fine nib.
