Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Visconti Metropolis Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its Visconti presentation box (including outer), information booklet and identity card. This was a limited edition of only 288 pens and this is number 123. The pen has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition.
Inspired by New York and its Financial District and this example is finished in Gunmetal grey. The intricate Gordian Knot pattern, named after Gordias, King of Phrygia, can be found across the barrel and cap. The knot was so intricate, according to the prophecy, that he stated that whoever could untie it, would become King of Asia. In 333 BC, after unsuccessfully trying to untie it, Alexander the Great, simply cut it, thus fulfilling the prophecy.
The pen has a retractable nib system and it uses their push and turn filling system, so your choice here is bottled ink. It's fitted with a 14k fine nib.
