Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronze Age Crystal Dream Fountain Pen, which comes with its Visconti presentation box (including branded outer) and information booklet. The pen has been been carefully used and is presented in overall lovely condition - there is a little bit of ink staining to the main window.
Based on the Bronze Age, which is the Homo Sapiens model that started it all off, this is the delightful Crystal Dream version. With its balsatic lava barrel and cap (from Mt. Etna) and bronze trim (it has a light patina!), these are always a delight. The Crystal Dream has a large ink window cut in to the barrel, which a smaller window in the ring near the section, showing the ink in the secondary reservoir.
The pen features the patented double reservoir power filler – you simply unscrew the end of the barrel, pull up the rod, place the nib in an ink bottle and push the rod back down to fill! It’s one of our favourite filling systems and the ink capacity is huge.
The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib.
