Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition Thomas Mann Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outer) and booklet - confirming first purchase on 25th September 2015. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition - the M sticker, denoting a medium nib, remains on the cone. Only 12000 were produced and this is number 2034. The pen was originally part of a set, hence the larger presentation box.
Every year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their Writers Edition series. In 2009 it was Thomas Mann, the renowned 20th Century writer, best known for his masterpiece "Buddenbrooks".
The pen is finished in black lacquer, with platinum-plated inlays inspired by the Art Deco era. The use of these colours and materials is a nod to the different relationships between the characters in "Buddenbrooks".
The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
