Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Sailor King of Pen Iro-Miyabi Chitose-Midori Fountain Pen, which comes with its wooden Sailor presentation box (including outer) and information leaflets. The pen was inked once to test and is presented in essentially as new condition.
The King of Pen requires no introduction and is a wonderful Sailor model. This is the glorious Iro-Miyabi version which uses the Ishime-nuri urushi technique - the slightly grainy finish is achieved by sprinking either charcoal powder of dry lacquer powder on top of the urushi lacquer, which is then polished and multiple layers of lacquer is applied on top. The Chitose-Midori has a deep green finish, which represents youth, permanence and long life. The base material of the pen is ebonite and the trim is gold-plated.
The pen is a cartridge / converter (supplied), so you have the best of both worlds. It's fitted with a 21k medium nib (old nib imprint).
