Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Sailor 9 Leiji Matsumoto Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its Sailor presentation box, bottle of ink, pouch and information leaflets. The pen has barely been used and is presented in fantastic condition - there are a few tiny marks on the edges of the clip (shown in the photos). Only 500 were produced and this is number 421.
Released in 2013, the pen was designed by the legendary anime and manga creator, Leiji Matsumoto. The design is inspired by a spaceship, which is a nod to many of his drawings. The shimmering blue resin, has distinctive 'fins' on both the cap and barrel. The trim is gold-coated. The cap top features his skull design and the character, Captain Harlock, is depicted on the lid of the ink bottle.
The pen is a cartridge / converter (supplied), so you have the best of both worlds. It's fitted with a 14k hard-medium (H-M) nib.
