Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this rare Sailor 1911L Sessai Bungukan Takizawa Starry Seas of Japan Fountain Pen, which comes with its Sailor presentation box (including outer), polishing cloth and information leaflets. The pen was only dipped to test and is presented in essentially as new condition.
This pen was a special edition created by Sailor for the stationery store, Bungukan Takizawa, in the Niigata prefecture of Japan. Their 'Sessai' inks and occasional pens capture the scenery and atmosphere of the prefecture. The full name of the pen is the The Sea of Japan Where Stars Fall and it takes its inspiration from the fact that at night, the boundary between the sea and sky is almost indistinguishable. The pen is finished in a sparkling glitter infused blue resin, with the trim being rhodium-coated.
This is a very special pen, as the original 21k Zoom nib was reground to a naginata medium by the legendary Yukio Nagahara. The pen is produced in very small numbers for the shop and even fewer have the NM nib - these pens were only available if you went in person to the shop, rather than online.
The pen is cartridge / converter (supplied) filler, so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
The important details are as follows...
- 21k Naginata Medium Nib
- Essentially As New Condition
- Sailor Presentation Box
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller.
