Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Pineider La Grande Bellezza Arco Blue Bee Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its large Pineider presentation box (shaped like a desk stand), information booklets and travelling ink well. The pen has been lightly used and is presented in overall excellent condition. Only 888 were produced and this is number 129.
The resin used takes its inspiration from the legendary Arco celluloid - to create a similar effect, the resin is stacked and then highly polished to reveal myriad of amber, yellow and blue shimmering tones. The trim is rhodium-coated and the cap attaches via magnets, which is the same system used if you post the cap on the barrel.
The pen is fitted with what Pineider call a 'Quill' nib (14k medium), which isn't a full-flex nib, but it does offer some interesting line variation.
The pen is a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
