Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Pineider Alchemist Kilauea Blue Fountain Pen, which comes with its large Pineider presentation box (shaped like a desk stand) and travelling ink well. The pen has been lightly used and is presented in overall excellent condition.
The material used for the barrel, cap and section is called Zeolite, which is a volcanic mineral - the name translates as 'boiled stone'. The pen is crafted from at least 40% pure zeolite. It has a deep blue finish and the trim is rhodium-coated.
The pen is fitted with what Pineider call a 'Quill' nib (14k stub), which isn't a full-flex nib, but it does offer some interesting line variation.
The pen is a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink. It comes with a small tool, which attaches to the end of the barrel, to easily use the filling system.
