Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Pilot Zodiac Ram Maki-e Fountain Pen, which comes with a modern Pilot presentation box (including outer) and information leaflets. The pen has been carefully used and is presented in overall excellent condition.
In the early 2000's Pilot / Namiki released 12 pens as a celebration of the Chinese Zodiac. These earlier editions (a newer brass based pen was released later) are crafted from ebonite and feature taka maki-e designs, which are basically high relief with the addition of gold-dust powder. This is the Ram, with the design hand painted by the legendary artist, Kyusai Yoshida.
The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied) so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
The important details are as follows...
– Excellent Condition
– Medium Nib
– Pilot Presentation Box
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller.
