Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Pilot Custom 745 Sterling Silver Fountain Pen, which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pen has been carefully used and is presented in excellent condition.
The Custom 745 (based on the 742) is a model that is rarely seen in the Pilot lineup, but it's a fantastic offering, esepcially if you want the feel and look of a Pilot Custom,, but don't want urushi or resin. It was produced for around 14 years, between 1993 - 2007. The nib code on this pen is A998, which means it was produced at the Hiratasuka plant in September 1998.
The pen is crafted from sterling silver, which is engraved with a delicate barley pattern. The trim is gold-coated.
The pen is fitted with an 18k fine medium (FM) nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied) so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
