Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Pelikan Souveran M600 Art Collection Glauco Cambon Special Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its Pelikan presentation box and stamped booklet. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition.
Released in 2023 as part of the Art Collection series. The design takes its inspiration from the 1909 poster by Glauco Cambon, who entered their competition and the colours were to represent their inks at the time.
The barrel has an almost holographic appearance, with myriad of yellow, green, blue and orange tones. The effect is created by taking a brass tube as the base, which is then engraved and guilloched with thin grooves - ten layers of clear lacquer are then applied and the barrel is then highly polished... it really is stunning. The remainder of the pen is black resin with the trim being gold-plated.
One of the fantastic features of Pelikan pens is that the nib unit can be unscrewed - this makes it both incredibly simple to clean and you can also change nibs in seconds!
The M600 is a piston filling pen, so the choice here is bottled ink. It's fitted with a 14c fine nib.
