Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Pelikan Souveran M800 Demonstrator Engraved Special Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its Pelikan presentation box (including outer), bottle of ink and stamped booklet - confirming first purchase on 13th December 2008. The pen has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition.
Released in 2008, this is is the English engraved version, which features text highlighting the various components. The pen is crafted from a clear resin, with the trim being gold-coated. The joy of a demonstrator is that whatever your chosen ink colour, you can see it at all times! This first version of the demonstrator features a cut-out on the brass piston connector, so that you can see the spindle within the connector - this detail was ommited from the M805 which was released in 2015.
One of the fantastic features of Pelikan pens is that the nib unit can be unscrewed – this makes it both incredibly simple to clean and you can also change nibs in seconds!
The M800 is a piston filling pen, so the choice here is bottled ink. It’s fitted with an 18C extra fine nib.
