Thanks for looking at our listing for this Onoto Magna Rosetta Stone Copper Demonstrator Prototype Fountain Pen, which comes with its Onoto presentation box, leather pen roll and certificate – confirming first purchase in 1st March 2024. The pen has barely been used and is presented in virtually as new condition. This was a prototype pen, hence the custom marking on the barrel finial.
This was a prototype pen for an unreleased model, based on the Onoto Rosetta Stone. This demonstrator is crafted from clear acrylic, which is then engraved with the three ancient languages found on the Rosetta Stone. The trim is copper, with the main cap band being engraved with an Egyptian theme.
The pen is fitted with a titanium size 8 extra fine flex nib (ebonite feed) and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied), so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink. This isn't a full flex nib, but it offers some enjoyable variation.
