Thanks for looking at our listing for this Onoto Magna Tortoiseshell Oceania Turtle Prototype Fountain Pen, which comes with its Onoto presentation box, leather pen roll and certificate – confirming first purchase in 16th October 2024. The pen has barely been used and is presented in virtually as new condition. This was a prototype pen, hence the custom marking on the barrel finial.
This is a prototype pen for the model known as the 'Oceania Turtle'. It's cradted from a semi-transparent, custom-blended resin, which has myriad of golden and darker tones, that are a nod to the sea turtle's carapace gliding beneath the waves. The trim is crafted from sterling silver, with the main cap band featuring a 3D deep relief wave engraving. The barrel has the additional brass weight fitted.
The pen is fitted with a titanium size 8 extra fine nib (ebonite feed) and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied), so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
