Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Omas Harmonia Mundi Titanium Gold Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with large acrylic OMAS presentation box. The pen has never been inked and is presented in fantastic condition - there is a tiny hairline mark by one of the screws, it's very difficult to spot but we've included it on photo 7. Only 950 were produced and this is number 417.
OMAS require no introduction and since their sad demise in January 2016, the hunger from fans and collectors for great examples of their writing instruments has increased dramatically! The company was founded by Armando Simoni and the full name was Officina Meccanica Armando Simoni, abbreviated to OMAS.
The Harmonia Mundi was released in 2004 and is one of our favourite Omas limited editions. The theme of the pen is harmony and peace, with the artist Clara Halter, focusing on messages of peace across the barrel and cap. Titanium is used to represent that it's often used in weaponry, whereas this is an instrument promoting peace. The clip is shaped like a trigger, but also in this instance to represent a rainbow.
The titanium design is covered in a transparent sheath and the clip, rings and screws are crafted from 18k gold. One design feature that we particularly enjoy is when the presentation box is opened, it raises the pen up, before then lowering it again when the box is closed.
The pen is fitted with a 18k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
The important details are as follows...
Condition: Wonderful
Box: Omas
Nib: Medium
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller.
