Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this delightful Omas Dama Arco Bronze Celluloid Preziose Vermeil Fountain Pen, which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pen is presented in overall lovely condition - there is some wear to the gold-plating on the cap.
OMAS require no introduction and since their sad demise in January 2016, the hunger from fans and collectors for great examples of their writing instruments has increased dramatically! The company was founded by Armando Simoni and the full name was Officina Meccanica Armando Simoni, abbreviated to OMAS.
This is the Arco Bronze celluloid version and it requires no introduction… with it being arguably the most sought-after pen material on the planet, alongside Arco Verde. With its myriad of golden brown ones, it’s a material that simply has to be seen to be fully appreciated. The arco pattern lines up extremely well. Being a Preziose, it has a vermeil (gold-plating over sterling silver) cap, with a lovely red agate roller on the clip.
The Dama is a smaller pen, with it measuring approx. 11.7cms with the cap attached and 10.9cms without.
The pen is fitted with a 18k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
