Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Namiki Nippon Art Tradition Ukiyo-e Vidro Fountain Pen, which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pen has been lightly used and is presented in overall excellent condition.
Part of the Namiki Nippon Art series, this is the Ukiyo-e Vidro edition. Ukiyo-e or 'floating image of the world' is a representation of a Japanese art movement, comprising popular paintings and prints from the Edo period (1603-1868). These depict scenes from nature and everyday life.
The pen is finished in black urushi lacquer, with the design created using tradiitonal maki-e techniques.
The pen is fitted with a 14k medium nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied) filler, so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
