Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this rare Nakaya Sumiko Bamboo Jumi Orashi Fountain Pen, which comes with its Nakaya presentation box and pen kimono. The pen has been very lightly used and is presented in wonderful condition.
Nakaya require no introduction and if you’ve got this far then likely you’ll be familiar with their wonderful writing instruments. The pen is hand-turned from solid ebonite rod stock, but this model varies from the usual 'gloss' finishes, s the addition of Sumiko or charcoal powder, results in a matte black finish. A textured bamboo leaf pattern covers the barrel, section and cap. The artists signature can be found in red on the barrel.
The pen is fitted with a 14k soft fine (older Nakata branding) nib and it’s a cartridge / converter pen (supplied), so your choice here is bottled ink.
