Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this exceptionally rare Nakaya Dorsal Fin 2 Gray Roiro LE14 Landolt-Arbenz Fountain Pen, which comes with its wooden presentation box (including outer), pen kimono and warranty card - confirming first purchase on 14th March 2024. The pen has never been used and is presented in as new condition.
Nakaya require no introduction and if you’ve got this far then likely you’ll be familiar with their wonderful writing instruments. The Dorsal Fin 2 is a legendary model, with its distinctive finned cap and barrel.
This limited edition of only 14 pens was produced for the Swiss retailer, Landolt-Arbenz, to celebrate their 140th anniversary. It is finished in a glorious 'Gray Roiro' urushi lacquer, which has a depth of shine to it that really has to be seen to be appreciated - the tone isn't completely grey, it has almost a dark beige tone to it.
The pen is fitted with a 14k ruthenium-coated elastic double broad (Nakaya mark it as C) nib and it’s a cartridge / converter pen (supplied), so your choice here is bottled ink.
