Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this legendary Nakaya Dorsal Fin 1 Midori Tamenuri Fountain Pen, which comes with its wooden presentation box (including outer) and a Galen Leather pen sleeve. The pen has barely been used and is presented in overall fantastic condition.
Nakaya require no introduction and if you’ve got this far then likely you’ll be familiar with their wonderful writing instruments. The Dorsal Fin 1 is a legendary model, with its distinctive finned cap.
The pen is hand-turned from solid ebonite stock, which then has multiple layers of lacquer applied, before finally being finished with natural urushi resin. The green and black tones make this one of our favourite Nakaya colours - as the pen is used the vibrancy of the green increases.
The pen is fitted with a 14k rhodium-coated fine nib and it’s a cartridge / converter pen (supplied), so your choice here is bottled ink.
