Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Montegrappa Luxor Blue Nile Celluloid Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its wooden Montegrappa presentation box. Only 1912 were produced and this is number 1830. The pen has just returned from a full overhaul by Montegrappa in Italy, where all celluloid elements were replaced, the sterling silver was polished and the pen was fully serviced. The presentation box does have some wear and damage to the pen stand and outer pyramid.
Released in 1996, the Luxor Blue Nile is a wonderful detailed pen... the barrel, cap, section and cone are crafted from turchese celluloid, which has myriad of vibrant blue tones. The stunning sterling silver overlay has a multitude of references to Egyptology and has to be seen to be fully appreciated.
The pen is fitted with a medium 18k nib (ebonite feed) and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
