Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Montegrappa Aphrodite Sterling Silver Fountain Pen, which comes with a large wooden Montegrappa presentation box (originally for a different model), polishing cloth and bottle of ink. The pen has just returned from Montegrappa in Italy, where it was fully serviced - they also polished all elements of the pen and as such it's presented in fantastic condition. Only 1912 were produced and this is number 1042.
Released in 1997, the Aphrodite is a deeply impressive and substantial writing instrument...the pen is crafted from ebonite and the sterling silver overlay was created using lost-wax castings. Featuring Aphrodite and Adonis, the pen honours the notion of love in Greek mythology. Mother-of-pearl inlays shimmer beautifully against the sterling silver.
The pen is fitted with a medium size #6 18k nib and it features the Montregrappa piston system, so your choice here is bottled ink.
