Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition William Shakespeare Ballpoint Pen, which comes with its book style Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and unstamped booklet. The pen has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition... there are some light marks to the presentation boxes. Only 9000 pens were produced and this is number 4332.
Every year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2016 it was William Shakespeare.
The black and white design is a nod to the flags that flew at the Globe Theatre, with white for comedy and black for tragedy. The clip is inspired by his signature earring and the octagonal cap is also a reference to the Globe. The gold-plated ring has several references to his plays.
The pen is fitted with a new refill.
