Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition Voltaire Mechanical Pencil which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pencil has been very lightly used and is presented in overall fantastic condition - there is a thin crack on the black inner liner (shown in the photos), this isn't unusual on this era of pencil and doesn't affect its usage. Only 12000 were produced and this is number 01208.
Every year since 1992 Montblanc have released a Writers Edition and in 1995 they chose Voltaire. The black resin represents the unfathomale nature of his thoughts with the vermeil (gold-plated over sterling silver) trim represents the richness of his possessions. His signature is engraved on the cap.
The pencil is fitted with 0.7mm leads.
