Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Montblanc Writers Edition Voltaire Fountain Pen which comes with its book-style Montblanc presentation box (this is the larger version, as the pen was originally part of a set). The pen has never been used and is presented essentially as new condition (a little bit of wear to the box) - the M sticker, denoting a medium nib, remains on the barrel. Only 20000 were produced and this is number 01208.
Every year since 1992 Montblanc have released a Writers Edition and in 1995 they chose Voltaire. The black resin represents the unfathomale nature of his thoughts with the vermeil (gold-plated over sterling silver) trim represents the richness of his possessions. His signature is engraved on the cap.
The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
