Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition Viginia Woolf Fountain Pen, Ballpoint Pen and Mechanical Pencil Set, which comes with its Montblanc book-style presentation box and booklet (the back page has been removed). All three writing instruments are presented in fantastic condition and have the limitation number 03289.
Every year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2006 it was Virginia Woolf.
The design takes its inspiration from the novel “The Waves”. The black resin is finished with a guilloche wave design, with the clip featuring a small ruby The trim is gold-plated.
The fountain pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib, which is engraved with two elm trees – a nod to her last resting place. It’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink. The ballpoint will come with a new refill and the pencil has 0.7mm leads.
