Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition William Shakespeare Limited Edition Rollerball / Fineliner Pen, which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pen has been regularly, but carefully used, and is presented in overall lovely condition. Only 7000 were produced and this is number 5054.
Every year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2016 it was William Shakespeare.
The black and white design is a nod to the flags that flew at the Globe Theatre, with white for comedy and black for tragedy. The clip is inspired by his signature earring and the octagonal cap is also a reference to the Globe. The gold-plated ring has several references to his plays.
The pen is fitted with a new rollerball refill. If you'd rather use it as a fineliner, then you'd simply have to purchase the relevant refill - these are widely available online
