Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition Thomas Mann Mechanical Pencil, which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pencil has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition. Only 3000 were produced and this is number 2034. The pencil was originally part of a set.
Every year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2009 it was Thomas Mann, the renowned 20th Century writer, best known for his masterpiece "Buddenbrooks".
The pencil is finished in black lacquer, with platinum-plated inlays inspired by the Art Deco era. The use of these colours and materials is a nod to the different relationships between the characters in "Buddenbrooks".
The pencil is fitted with 0.7mm leads and unused eraser.
