Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition 'Special Set' Voltaire Mechanical Pencil which comes with its larger 'special set' Montblanc presentation box, facsimile hand written note and international reply card. The pencil has been lightly used and is presented in overall excellent condition. Only 12000 were produced and this is number 03356.
Every year since 1992 Montblanc have released a Writers Edition and in 1995 they chose Voltaire. The black resin represents the unfathomale nature of his thoughts with the vermeil (gold-plated over sterling silver) trim represents the richness of his possessions. His signature is engraved on the cap.
The pencil is fitted with 0.7mm leads.
