Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Fountain Pen, which comes with its large Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and booklet. The pen has barely been used and is presented in virtually as new condition - the F sticker, denoting a fine nib, remains on the cone. Only 9000 were produced and this is number 3584.
Launched in 2021, as the yearly offering from the Montblanc Writers Edition, the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is finished in a delightful blue-grey resin, with the trim being ruthenium-coated.
The colour-scheme was chosen to reflect the foggy atmosphere of London. The plaid pattern on the cap and barrel are a reference to Sherlock Holmes coat, along with parts of a historical London map. The initials JB are found between the magnifying glass shaped clip, a homage to Joseph Bell, the real man behind the Sherlock Holmes character.
The pen is fitted with an 18k fine nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
