Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition Mark Twain Fountain Pen, Ballpoint Pen and Mechanical Pencil Set which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and stamped information booklet. The set has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition. Only 3000 sets were produced and this is number 2076. The M sticker, denoting a medium nib, remains on the cone.
Launched in 2010 as the yearly release in the Writers Edition series, this edition pays tribute to the American author Mark Twain. Crafted from a deep blue resin, the filigree wave design reflects both the river of his homeland, the Mississippi. The nib on the fountain pen is engraved with two threads, which was the nautical measurement used for navigation by river steamers on the Mississippi in the 19th century.
The fountain pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink. The ballpoint will come with a new refill and the pencil has 0.7mm leads.
