Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition Jonathan Swift Rollerball Pen, which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pen has been regularly, but carefully used, and is presented in overall very good condition. Only 8000 pens were produced and this is number 7433.
Every year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2012 it was Jonathan Swift.
The pen takes its inspiration from "Gulliver's Travels". It's crafted from black lacquer and decorated with inlays reminiscent of the ropes used to bind Gulliver. The cap is particularly interesting as it's shaped like Gulliver's tricorn hat and it always features Swift's engraved signature. The clip reflects the staircar that the mayor of Liliput Island had to climb to talk to Gulliver.
The pen is fitted with a new rollerball refill. If you'd rather use it as a fineliner, then you'd simply have to purchase the relevant refill - these are widely available online.
