Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Montblanc Writers Edition Jonathan Swift Fountain Pen, which comes with its book style Montblanc presentation box. The pen has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition - the M sticker, denoting a medium nib, remains on the cone. Only 12800 pens were produced and this is number 11617.
Ever year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2012 it was Jonathan Swift.
The pen takes its inspiration from "Gulliver's Travels". It's crafted from black lacquer and decorated with inlays reminiscent of the ropes used to bind Gulliver. The cap is particularly interesting as it's shaped like Gulliver's tricorn hat and it always features Swift's engraved signature. The clip reflects the staircar that the mayor of Liliput Island had to climb to talk to Gulliver.
The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
