Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition Homage to Homer Rollerball Pen, which comes with its Homer Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and information booklet. The outer box remains sealed in its plastic wrap, so the pen is presented in new condition - we've included photos of the sealed box along with photos, from another example that we've previously sold, so you can see details of the pen. Only 8600 were produced and this is number 6568.
Launched in 2018, as the yearly offering from the Montblanc Writers Edition, the Homer is one of the most striking and recognisable pens from the series. This tribute to the author of the epic poems, the Iliad and the Odyssey, is a wonderful creation.
Taking its design inspiration from the story of the Trojan horse, the overall shape is a nod to the horse itself, with the back and clip reflecting the spear of Achilles. The engravings found on the cone and rings use motifs found on the traditional Greek pottery, with the colour of the pen also reflecting the colour of the pottery of that time.
The pen is twist action and uses the Montblanc capless rollerball refills.
