Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition Franz Kafka Ballpoint Pen, which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pen has been regularly used, but is still presented in good condition - there is a slight bend in the clip (shown in the photos). Only 16500 pens were produced and this is number 04581.
Every year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2004 it was Franz Kafka.
The barrel and cap are crafted from a semi-transparent dark red resin, with the trim being sterling silver. The design is inspired by his most famous work "The Metamorphosis", with the the tapered barrel making this one of the most interesting designs from the series.
The pen is fitted with a new refill.
