Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition Agatha Christie Vermeil Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc book-style presentation box. The pen has been carefully used and is presented in overall excellent condition.
Only 4810 pens were produced and this is number 2047. The pen was originally part of a set that was won by its original owner in 1993, as an award for being the top salesperson at their company.
Every year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers edition series. In 1993 it was Agatha Christie.
This is one of our favourite Writers Editions, with this pen being the rare vermeil version. The pen is crafted from black resin, with the trim and serpent clip being vermeil (gold-plating over sterling silver) - the serpents eyes are set with two sapphires.
The pen is fitted with a wonderful 18k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
