Thanks for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Starwalker Rubber Platinum Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outer) and stamped booklet - confirming first purchase on 4th March 2001. The pen has been lightly used and is presented in overall excellent condition - the F sticker, denoting a fine nib, remains on the cone.
The platinum trim is bright and the rubber like surface, which features a unique diamond cut pattern, still retains its light sheen on the almost matt surface.
This is an interesting example, as it's from the very first era of Starwalker production. The reason we know this is that the serial number can be found on the side of the clip ring - shortly after production started, for this generation of Starwalker, they moved the serial number to the clip ring to make it more difficult from a counterfeit point of view. We have absolutely no doubts about its authenticity.
The pen is fitted with a 14k fine nib and it's a cartridge filler.
