Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Patron of Art Nicolaus Copernicus 4810 Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with a standard Montblanc presentation box (including outer). As with other POA pens, only 4810 were produced and this is number 1259. The pen has never been inked and is presented i in fantastic condition... the ring of the cap, nearest the snowcap, moves maybe 1mm if you turn it, but this has zero affect on its usage and is not loose in any way.
In 2003, Montblanc honoured Nicolaus Copernicus, with the pen taking inspiration for his model of the universe. The pens rings and trim are crafted from sterling silver, with the remainder of the pen being finished in an anthracite-coloured lacquer. The mother-of-pearl snowcap sits atop the cap.
The 18k medium nib features an engraving of his orbital charts and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
