Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Patron of Art 4810 Max von Oppenheim Fountain Pen, which comes with its lacquered presentation box. As with other POA pens, only 4810 were produced and this is number 2049. The pen has never been inked and is presented in overall fantastic condition.
In 2009, Montblanc honoured Baron Max von Oppenheim, a man known for his passion for exploring and discovering the beauty of the Middle East. The design is inspited by the domes of Eastern Mosques, with the sterling silver barrel and cap featuring fresco inspired lacquered inlays. The gold-plated rings recall the designs and reliefs from Tell Halaf.
The 18k fine (close to an EF!) nib has an engraving of a Bedouin motif and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
