Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Patron of Art 4810 Homage to Prince Albert Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with a standard Montblanc presentation box. The pen has been lightly used and is presented in excellent condition - the protective tape remains on the cone. As with other POA pens, only 4810 were produced and this is number 1370.
In 2022, Montblanc honoured Queen Victoria & Prince Albert. This Prince Albert version celebrates the young Albert, which the barrel being finished in a pearl white lacquer and the cap being lacquered in a glorious burgundy lacquer, with a Victorian pattern underneath. The clip refers to his wife’s sceptre, with the dark red stone. The richly decorated cap top is inspired by the dome of the Crystal Palace. The cap ring is engraved with the quote “treu und fest”.
The 18k double broad nib has an engraving of his personal coat of arms and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
