Thanks for looking at our listing for this glorious Montblanc Meisterstuck LeGrand Solitaire Le Petit Prince Happy Holiday Coffret LE943 Fountain Pen Set, which comes with its large Montblanc presentation box (including outers), book and booklet. Neither of the pens have been used and are presented in as new condition. There are a few small spots of wear to the inner lining of the box.
This Coffret edition includes two Montblanc Solitaire LeGrand Fountain Pens. It's inspired by the aviator aesthetic... only 1943 were produced, with this being number 297. The included book is a special edition, co-edited with Gallimard Maison, the French publisher who have published all of the Saint-Exupery books.
The top of the cap featuring a sentence from the Le Petit Prince book and the yellow lacquered star can be found on the clip. With one pen, the cap and barrel are platinum-coated with engraved images of the desert and the pilot's airplane. On the second pen, the design is created using brown leath. The Montblanc snowcap emblem is finished in mother-of-pearl, which is always a delightful addition.
Both pens are fitted with an 18k medium nib and they're piston fillers, so your choice here is bottled ink.
