Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck 146 LeGrand Gold Coated Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outer) and unstamped booklet. The pen has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition (a few very light marks to the top of the presentation box) - the M sticker, denoting a medium nib, remains on the barrel.
This is a simple pen to date, as it features the first generation serial number (shorter and in a different font), so it's from 1991-92. The clip ring also features W.Germany markings, so likely 1991. These transitional pens are always really delightful, with it having the previous generation solid ink window and split ebonite feed, but then the current bi-tone nib.
The pen is fitted with a 14k bi-tone medium nib and it's a piston filling pen, which means that bottled ink is your choice here.
