Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck 149 Red Gold-Coated Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outer) and stamped service guide – confirming first purchase in 2nd December 2025. The pen has never been inked and is presented in virtually as new condition - the original medium nib was changed to a glorious and now extremely rare O3B nib and the nib certificate is included.
The pen is crafted from black resin with the trim being red gold-coated. It's fitted with an 18k tri-tone oblique triple broad nib... this nib used to be a 'free' option with the Montblanc nib exchange scheme, whereby within 6 weeks of first purchase, it could be sent to Hamburg to be swapped free of charge. Montblanc have now stopped offering the O3B nib as part of that service and it now forms part of their 'Signature Nib' programme, which incurs a large additional cost.
The 149 is a piston filling pen, which means that bottled ink is your choice here. The serial number can be found on the clip ring.
