Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstück 149 High Artistry A Tribute to Craftsmanship LE1994 Fountain Pen, which comes with its large Montblanc presentation box (including outers), bottle of ink, sealed notebook, information booklet and stamped service guide - confirming first purchase in July 2026. The pen has never been used and is presented in as new condition. Only 1994 were produced and this is number 0654.
Following on from the success of the High Artistry Orient Express, this is the A Tribute to Craftsmanship. The number 1994 was chosen as it was the year that several historic sites in Kyoto were designated at UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The cap and barrel are finished in a vibrant vermilion-coloured resin, with the cone, forepart ring and cap top being black resin - this is a nod to torii gates, which can be found at the entrance of a holy site and take the person travelling through them, on a journey of spiritual cleansing. Each gate is a further step towards holiness. The trim is gold-coated.
The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib (the design is beautiful!) and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
