Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstück 149 Gold-Coated Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box. The pen is presented in overall lovely condition... there's a very fine crack that runs down the cap, but it's entirely stable and makes no difference to the usage of the pen.
The pen is crafted from black resin with the trim being gold-coated. Only W.Germany markings can be found on the clip ring. The pen will have originally dated from around 1985-90. The first owner advised that they then had the original nib changed at a later date to the current 18k tri-tone broad, which matches up with the fact that it has the current style plastic feed. The original nib came to us with the pen, so this all makes sense.
The pen is fitted with a broad nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
