Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstück 149 Gold-Coated Fountain Pen, which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pen has been carefully used and is presented in overall lovely condition - there is a mark on the cap, shown in the photos.
The pen is crafted from black resin with the trim being gold-coated. This is a relatively easy pen to date, as it has a early style plastic feed, two-piece barrel, brass piston threads and bi-tone 18k nib. These features coupled with the first-generation serial number (shorter and in a different font), dates this to 1991.
The pen is fitted with an extra fine nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
