Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstück 149 Gold-Coated Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box. The pen has been lightly used and is presented in excellent condition.
The pen is crafted from black resin with the trim being gold-coated. This is a relatively easy pen to date, as it has a split ebonite feed, two-piece barrel, black plastic piston threads and bi-tone 14k nib. These features place it as a 1985 pen... obviously there may have been parts remaining, so it may be a year or so later, but all the features point to 1985 as a year of production. The clip ring features only Germany markings.
The pen is fitted with a fine nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
